About us & the Flensburg team, Ina Reese, solicitor
ABOUT US & TEAM
The law firm Recht & Steuern Ina Reese has been advising private clients and small and medium-sized businesses in Flensburg and Harrislee for over 20 years. We specialise in civil and commercial law, tax disputes and tax planning, always taking into account both aspects of a decision: the legal and the tax-related.
This combination is made possible by Ina Reese’s dual qualifications as a solicitor and a specialist in tax law. Our legal work is complemented by collaboration with experienced financial accountants, enabling us to offer comprehensive support for your business and personal matters from a single source.
Our History
Serving you in Flensburg and Harrislee since 2000, offering legal and tax expertise all under one roof.
The law firm was founded in 2000 and was originally based at Flensburg Harbour before moving to Harrislee.
Right from the start, the approach was clear: a law firm that considers legal and tax issues not in isolation, but as a whole.
To this day, it is this combination that sets us apart from traditional law firms or tax consultancy firms.
Ina Reese: a profile
Specialist solicitor in tax law
Ina Reese took her A‑levels at the grammar school in Husum and completed her law degree in Hanover.
She has been admitted to the bar since 1993 and has held the title of specialist solicitor in tax law since 1997.
In 2000, she founded the law firm Recht & Steuern Ina Reese and has been running it as its owner ever since.
Her proficiency in English and Spanish rounds off her profile, particularly for cases with an international dimension.
Ina Reese
Dual qualification: law and tax under one roof
For clients, the combination of being a solicitor and a specialist in tax law means, first and foremost, that there is no need to coordinate between two points of contact. Whether it is a partnership agreement, a separation or a tax dispute, legal and tax aspects are considered together from the outset, rather than being reconciled retrospectively.
Areas of specialism & client base
Our consultancy services are aimed at private clients as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. Our areas of specialisation range from company law, employment law and tenancy law, through insolvency law and debt management, to day-to-day tax advice, bookkeeping and representation in appeal proceedings and before the tax court.
Memberships & international appointments
Ina Reese is a member of the German Bar Association and the Schleswig-Holstein Association of Tax Advisers. Thanks to our proficiency in English and Spanish, as well as our partnerships in the border region, we also handle cases relating to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Spain.
Regional involvement
We have deep roots in the region: The law firm and its staff are members of the Association for the Promotion of the Flensburg Maritime Museum, the Russian-German Theatre in Flensburg, the Association for the Preservation of Windmills and Watermills in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, and the LAG AktivRegion Südliches Nordfriesland.

Both debt collection agencies and solicitors’ firms are authorised to recover claims, and in principle they cost the debtor the same. The differences lie elsewhere: in the costs incurred by the creditor, in the representation provided following an objection, and in the tax treatment. We explain which approach is best suited to which type of claim.

Many tax implications are not determined in the tax return, but are decided beforehand in the contract. Using examples from company law, corporate restructuring, tenancy law and tax audits, we demonstrate where law and tax go hand in hand.
Many cases of non-payment can be avoided before the invoice is even issued. We explain how small businesses can safeguard their receivables, set up a structured dunning process and enforce payment of outstanding invoices right through to enforcement proceedings, as well as the relevant tax implications.
From 1 January 2027, businesses with a turnover of more than 800,000 euros in the previous year will be required to issue e‑invoices. What this means in terms of formats, input VAT, archiving and contracts, and what needs to be done by the end of the year.
On 31 December 2026, many outstanding invoices that fell due in 2023 will become time-barred. Sending a reminder will not extend the time limit. We explain what really helps and what you need to bear in mind regarding VAT.
Contact – Your Preferred date
